Team 2016 Black
Patty Daley
Patty Daley was a college player at the University of Maryland and a club player in Washington D.C. through 1990. For the past twenty years she has been a lacrosse referee at the high school, club, and collegiate level. In recent years she has been a Division 1 college referee with the oportunity to officiate the Atlantic Coast, Big East, and Colonial Athletic Conference Tournaments, as well as, Division 1 and 3 NCAA Final Four tournaments. She is  a co-coach of the Winters Mill High School Check-Hers Fall Ball team, in addition to being a new member of the Check-Hers Elite 2011 coaching staff. As a presenter at the US National Lacrosse Convention and member of the US Lacrosse Training Committee, she has enjoyed the opportunity to influence officials as they work to improve their level of officiating, knowledge and expertise.

Jess Wynne
Jess's lacrosse career started in 8th grade playing for Gamber Smallwood.  She played 4 years at Westminster High School continuing on to play for Salisbury University's Club Team.

Jess started her coaching career at Westminster High School, coaching JV for two years before moving on to Winters Mill High school.  She is currently the Assistant Coach for Winters Mill's Varsity team under Coach Vaughn.  Within those six years the Winters Mill team won the 2008 3A/2A Lacrosse State Championship, 2010 and 2011 won the 2A/1A Lacrosse State Championships.   She also coached for Central Maryland Lacrosse Club for three years.

Connie Tumulty
Connie currently coaches the Varsity Lacrosse Team at Francis Scott Key High School, a U11 Youth Team and is the assistant coach of the Check-Hers 2015 team.  She previously coached the JV Field Hockey Team at FSK High School for three seasons. 

 A 2007 graduate of McDaniel College, Wuenschel was a four year starter, captain, a two-time Centennial Conference First Team selection, as well as a two-time First Team Regional All-American.  Currently, she is the McDaniel College career leader in ground balls (180).  Wuenschel falls within the Top 10 career leaders in points, assists, draw controls, caused turnovers, as well as free position goals.   

Connie played high school lacrosse and field hockey at South Carroll High School. She was an All Carroll County Selection for field hockey and lacrosse. She was also named to the Maryland All-State Field Hockey Team.

Muffie Bliss
Muffie was named McDaniel’s head field hockey and women’s lacrosse coaches following a successful stint as the interim coach of the women’s lacrosse team in the spring of 2004.  After two years as head coach of both squads, she surrendered the helm of the Green Terror field hockey program in 2006 to focus on women’s lacrosse.
Her focus paid off after just one season when she led McDaniel to the ECAC South championship and program-record 14 victories in 2007.  The success continued in 2008, notching another 10-win campaign and the team’s second consecutive Centennial Conference (CC) semifinal appearance. In 2009, the squad made it three straight CC playoff appearances. 

Bliss began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at McDaniel in the fall of 2003, immediately following a successful academic and athletic career at Goucher College. She completed her master’s in education at McDaniel in the summer of 2004.  Awarded all-conference & All region honors. 

Assistant coach - Katie Leech
A 2014 graduate of Towson University with a degreein Criminal Justice and four-year lacrosse players.  Katie recently set the school record for career games played with a total of 76, as well as reaching the top 10 in caused turnovers.  Katie started her playing career with Towson as a midfielder and was moved to Defensive Midfielder in the beginning of her sophomore year while still taking the draws.  Katie led her team in 2012 & 2013 in draw controls finishing witha a total of 119 and reaching the top 5 in career history for Towson.  katie earned CAA Defensive Player of the WEek honors after leading the Tigers to a pair of CAA road victories.  She also earned 2nd team All-CAA honors, 2014 Preseason All-CAA and 2013 Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention.

Katie was a four-year, two sport varsity starter at Winters Mill High School in Lacrosse and soccer.  She helped lead her lacrosse team to two State Championships with 81 goals & 24 assistas as a senior and was a 1st Team All American.  She was named as one of the Top 25 Rising Juniors by Inside Lacrosse...named second team All-Metro honors by the Baltimore Sun as a sophomore and was awarded All County & All-Conference picks throughout her high school career.  She also led her soccer team in her senior year as a captain to regional and county titles first time in school history.  Katie has been playing lacrosse since she was 6 years old & played for Check-Hers Elite 2010 team.

Ashleigh Rohrback
Ashleigh is currently captain for the Towson Women's Lacrosse team. Ashleigh earned CAA Player of the Week honors after leading the Tigers to a pair of CAA road victories, including an upset of No. 19 James Madison on Sunday.  2012-started all 20 games, finishing the season second on the team with 49 points.

Ashleigh was a four sport Athlete at Westminster High School.  Assisting within County, Regional and State Championships.  Being awarded All County, MVAL picks throughout her high school career.  Her Club lacrosse years were played for Check-Hers Elite 2010.

Molly Kohler
Molly is currently the Head Coach at Franklin High School.  Molly grew up in Westminster, originally playing lacrosse in eighth grade for Gamber and continued playing lacrosse throughout high school for Westminster.  After high school, she attended Western Maryland College (now McDaniel) as a member of the Green Terror Girl’s lacrosse team.  Graduating with a degree is Psychology.  She coached the Junior Varsity team at Westminster High school for five years and WAX for two years.  She is currently a Special Educator for Baltimore and attending Goucher College for her Masters.

Jess Onheiser
Jess is currenty the Varsity Head Coach at Garrison Forest.  Prior to joining GFS in 2008, Jess was coaching Division I lacrosse at the Ohio University and Loyola University Maryland. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B.S. in Human Organizational Development and Child Development. Jess received a M.S. in Recreational Sports Sciences with a focus on Coaching Educating from Ohio University. She assists with all Athletics Department responsibilities and coaches Varsity Lacrosse. During her time at Vanderbilt she was a two-time All-American Lacrosse Conference member, a two-time IWLCA All-South Region First Team honoree, a two-time Academic All-American, and three-time member of the Southeastern Conference Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. From 2004 to 2008, Jess was a member of the United States National Developmental and Elite team.

Jen's college lacrosse career was played at St. Joseph Univeristy.  Within her career she scored 88 goals with 113 points, along with many ground balls, draw controls & caused turnovers.  62 starts in 64 games.  As a freshman named Rookie of the Week after scoring five goals and assisting one goal in two games...Had a six-point performance with four goals and two assists in a win over La Salle...Scored the game-winning goal with no time remaining in an 11-10 Atlantic 10 semifinal victory over Richmond.

During high school, Jen was a 3-sport athlete.  Receiving awards such as All-American selection senior year...All-Conference and All-Country First Team for three years...Westminster Eagle Athlete of the Year & All-Second Team senior year...Helped win county, conference and State titles senior year...Four-year starter...Three-time letter winner in soccer & basketball...All-Country and All-Conference in soccer & basketball.  Her club lacrosse years were played for Check-Hers Elite 2008.

Connie Tumulty

Assistant:  Ceri Miller
Ceri Miller begins her first season as head coach of the Goucher women’s lacrosse program, bringing a wide range of coaching and playing experience to the Gophers.  Most recently served as an assistant coach at Dickinson College from 2010-13. While with the Red Devils, she was involved with all aspects of the program, with a focus on the development and coordination of the defensive unit and goalkeepers. Miller coached five all-conference and four all-region players during her time at Dickinson.

Miller played lacrosse collegiately as a defender at both C.W. Post Long Island University and McDaniel College. She was at McDaniel from 2007-09, where the team earned Centennial Conference Tournament appearances in each season and was crowned ECAC champions in 2007. Miller was a captain for the Green Terror in 2009, and she was also named the team's MVP that year.

After earning a B.A. in exercise science and physical education from McDaniel in 2008, Miller received her M.S. in the same discipline in 2009. She is an active member of the IWLCA, where she has served on the Academic Awards Committee since 2012. Miller has also been a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Courtney Vaughn
Courtney began her lacrosse experience while playing for the Seagulls at Salisbury in 1982. She is the MPSAA District I Lacrosse Representative for the State of Maryland, High School Director for Western Maryland Chapter of US Lacrosse, the founder of the Check-Hers fall league and is the head coach at Winters Mill High School in Westminster, Md. Courtney was the Baltimore Sun Metro Coach of the Year in 2000, Greater Baltimore Chapter of US Lacrosse Coach of the Year in 2001, and was the Baltimore Sun Lacrosse Coach of the Year for Carroll County in 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1998, 1999, 2000,  2001 and 2008. Courtney was inducted into the Greater Baltimore Chapter of US Lacrosse in 2007. Courtney created and developed the women's lacrosse program at Liberty High School where her teams were ranked in the top 15 of the Baltimore Sun metro poll for 10 consecutive years, ending with a #4 ranking in 2002. Her overall record while at Liberty was 184-49. In 2003, Courtney created and developed the program at Winters Mill High School. Her 2008 Winters Mill team won the 3A/2A Lacrosse State Championship, 2010, 2011 & 2013 won the 2A/1A Lacrosse State Championships. She has sent over 65 players on to the collegiate level, with 35 players becoming Division I lacrosse players. Ten of her previous players coach at the high school or collegiate level. Courtney is a co-founder of Check-Hers Elite and on the Check-Hers Elite Board of Directors.

Lauren is Head Coach at Mt. St. Mary's Univ., former US National Player & Stanford Assistant coach.  Lauren has six years of Division I coaching experience, following a standout career as a midfielder for Johns Hopkins. Lauren ranks 12th all-time in JHU history by compiling 118 career poinst with 79 goals & 39 assists from 2005-08.  Graduated 2008 with a degree in Public Health Studies.

Rob Slade
As owner and developer of the Sport-Speed-Strength Training Program, Rob Slade is the true keystone of S3 Training Center. As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S) NSCA, Rob has been training sports teams and individual athletes as well as Police and Firemen since 1981. Rob was awarded the Division 1 Collegiate Conference Strength Coach of the Year (Two times) NSCA. Rob's past training experience also includes being the former strength and conditioning coach as well as the Assistant Track Coach for UMBC. He also was the former Strength Coach for the USA Sailing and Chessie Racing Teams. Rob has personally trained and provided fitness training for several Police and Fire Departments including Howard County, Maryland State Police and Baltimore County. He is a graduate of Towson State University and is from the Baltimore area. Rob is the physical education instructor for several schools in the area.
