Team Placement
Placement of players to the Black or the Pink teams will be based on player ability, skills, and commitment to club participation. We do not allow players to play up or down a grade level. Tryout results will be emailed to each family after the 2014 fall season has been completed. We will create a waitlist for each team. We ask you to please respect the try-out process, our evaluations, the evaluators, and the following criterion:
- BLACK TEAM: Girls have speed to keep the ball moving at a maximum rate, have superb stick skills, great game sense, and are committed to attending all events and have decided to play lacrosse in college at the most competitive level.
- PINK TEAM: Girls have solid stick skills, good game sense, and are committed to attending all events, and have decided to play lacrosse in college.
Check Hers tryouts are open for all players. In past years we have had players move from Pink to Black and Black to Pink. We do not base our evaluations on the prior year’s play and truly reward the players that have improved their play. Overall talent is a major factor but the biggest factor is the player’s commitment. All players must attend both days of tryouts. Check Hers Elite Lacrosse reserves the right to add players based on individual evaluations completed by any Check Hers Lacrosse Coach.
* All try-outs will be outdoors! We cannot get a sense for field speed and game sense by running an indoor try-out. Please dress appropriately. Check the website for any announcements pertaining to try-outs. This will be placed directly on the homepage: http://www.checkherselitelax.com/
What to Bring to Tryouts
Bring water, your stick, mouth guard, goggles, sneakers or cleats for the grass fields. Goalies must bring their own equipment.
You MAY NOT wear any high school, club gear, elite camp, pinnies and paraphernalia. Bring a REVERSIBLE PINNIE, light color on a side and a color on the other side. College jerseys are permitted.

- We encourage players to attend all practices and tournaments.

- We wanted to make you aware of...
- We are encouraging our teams to participate in a weekly fall ball league. This is good team building and does wonders with individual stick skills. They will receive coaching from a variety of experienced coaches.
- We want to continue to have a great relationship with rec programs and encourage you to still participate on your rec teams moving forward, however, we expect you to make our spring/summer practices.
- We support a multiple sport athlete.
- Coaching for 2014!
- We offer staff who are focused, intense, and fun.
- We feel that every coach in our staff should be on the same page, coach the same techniques, and be great teachers of the game for all our young ladies. Our focus is to get the best out of each one of our players.
- All communication will go through Coach Rohrback.
- Check Hers Team Policy - All teams are playing to win games/tournaments. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE EQUAL PLAYING TIME ON OUR TEAMS! We expect everyone to earn their playing time.
